At the Pacific Business and Law Institute seminar “Family Law 2015: Challenging Issues and Emerging Trends”, Mark Slay gave a presentation considering recent decisions from the BC courts concerning property division under the new Family Law Act and described strategies lawyers may use to preserve the benefit of excluded property, and avoid having that property become subject to division between spouses. A paper on the subject written by Mark Slay and Ludmila Marenco is available upon request.
