Family Law partner Mark Slay was included in the faculty at the Public Order vs. Freedom of Speech and Association day of legal education and insights hosted by Congregation Beth Israel on June 14, 2022.
Mark was on the panel discussing Family Conflicts, Vaccine Mandates, and Child Consent. Keynote speakers included Honourable Marshall Rothstein, C. C., QC – Former Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada and Honourable David EBY, QC – Attorney General and Minister Responsible for Housing.
Mark also presented at the two-day CLEBC: Family Law Basics held on June 2, 2022. Mark spoke on the topic “On Your Marks, Get Set, Go: Trial and Mediation Preparation”. His presentation included an overview of client preparation, organizing documents, working with witnesses and experts, and opening and closing arguments, among other related topics.
