Biography

An attentive and knowledgeable family lawyer, Bahareh Danaei provides clients with unwavering support, strong advocacy, and sound legal advice.

She helps clients navigate a range of family law matters, including division of property, disputes involving child custody, and cohabitation and marriage agreements.

Bahareh is also a criminal defence lawyer and a steadfast advocate for clients in high stakes situations. She advises clients who are under investigation or who have been charged with various criminal offences including assault, sexual assault, property crimes, and possession of narcotics.

Bahareh’s empathy for her clients during challenging circumstances enables her to provide strong advocacy. She is often able to obtain successful resolutions without going to court through negotiation, mediation, and other alternative dispute methods. If court cannot be avoided, clients benefit from Bahareh’s experience as trial counsel. She has appeared numerous times in Provincial Court, Supreme Court, and the Court of Appeal on behalf of her clients.

With the ability to speak both Farsi and English fluently, Bahareh has successfully represented Iranian clients who often face language and cultural barriers in the justice system. From her office in North Vancouver, she assists clients all across Metro Vancouver. She has appeared in various courts throughout the Lower Mainland.

Bahareh received her Bachelor of Arts from Simon Fraser University and obtained her Juris Doctor degree at Bond University in Gold Coast, Australia. Bahareh is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia, Canadian Bar Association, North Shore Bar Association, and the Trial Lawyer’s Association. She is a former board member of the North Shore Multicultural Society. Bahareh has provided pro bono services throughout her career and regularly volunteers at the North Shore Women Centre Legal Clinic.

Outside of her practice, Bahareh enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, swimming, and boxing.
