Biography
Justin Werb is a family law lawyer with more than a decade of experience. For his entire legal career, Justin has focused on resolving matters involving children, support, and division of assets.
He has developed considerable expertise in managing high conflict cases where there are allegations of parental alienation and physical, emotional, and sexual abuse. Thoughtful and attentive in his approach to advocacy, Justin stays focused on securing results for his clients.
Justin works closely with clients to set out a realistic path to their desired result for themselves and their children. He provides personalized options and practical strategies for achieving successful resolutions.
Justin regularly represents clients in chambers applications, which are based on evidence in written affidavits, and trials, where both parties appear before a judge, in the Provincial Court of British Columbia and Supreme Court of British Columbia. He is also experienced in appellate work in the British Columbia Court of Appeal.
Justin is an effective negotiator and provides solicitor support for clients through the drafting of comprehensive separation agreements, negotiation, and mediation briefs. As a qualified family law mediator, Justin is available to assist parties in reaching an agreement on their family law matter. Justin will soon be a qualified parenting coordinator in the Province of British Columbia.
When not working, Justin enjoys hockey and cooking. Something of an outdoorsman, he enjoys the occasional weekend fishing trip: although he always packs supplies in case the fish aren’t biting.
